Merry Christmas 2011

Well here we are at Christmas! This year has flew by and I am slacking on the blogging! My new years resolution will be to do all the blogging that I was supposed to do this year. So to all my limegreenshoe fans, I wish you a very merry Christmas and a joyful and very creative new year! I will be posting all the creations that I gave as gifts and everything that I have made, later, but for now merry Christmas and remember to be yourself as the new year comes around! ~nick~

As Summer Trips Into Fall

Here comes fall, sprinting right at us. Summer flew by this year and the school year is upon us. And because of hurricane Irene, we already have to make up days, and we haven't even had one day of school! We were supposed to go in on Wednesday/Thursday but now we are going on Tuesday! I was so ready for school, finished all my summer work, getting excited to see all my friends and teachers, just got my schedule in the mail, everything was set and ready to go! Then Irene came and swept school into the next week! My house was lucky, we only got some big branches and a ton of leaves down, but the next street over had a tree right through their house! But life goes on. So I've been sitting around, trying to keep myself busy. I taught myself how to crochet in a half an hour. I crocheted a dish clothe, that I then turned into a little bag for my knitting kneedles and scissors and stuff. Then I taught myself how to double crochet and I started a blanket. I have been working on it for two days now and it's looking pretty snazzy.(check out the crochet page to see those two projects) Ive watched like five movies in the fast two days. I went for three bike rides, I've gone to library so much this summer that the librarians now me and my brother by name! My family went to the beach yesterday, as well. I never thought that five days would go by so slowly! But I can't wait for fall to come! I love all the colors, and smells of apples and cinnimon and how it's the perfect temperature when you can where a sweatshirt because you feel like it, not because it's too cold. And all the awesome fall decorations and pumpkins. And then Halloween comes around and I get to decorate with witches and jack-o-lanterns. ( I hope you got the joke in the title, if not I'm disappointed in you!) So as summer trips into fall, there will hopefully be some more painting and good times. School, will be starting and the pb&j sandwiches will be made, #2 pencils will be sharpened and the new school Clothes will be all set and ready to be worn for the first day of school. So come one fall, I'm ready for ya!

Happy Birthday!

So today, July 23, is my birthday!!!!! Yay, Happy Birthday! and so on...

 I am another year older! Every year on my birthday for the past like seven years, it has rained on my birthday. So this year I outsmarted Mother Nature and had my birthday party on Thursday. I only wanted a small hang out thing so I wasn't a total loser for my birthday! So on Thursday I invited Kailyn and Kimmie, my two best friends. Because it was like 100 degrees (not joke) we went in the pool for most of the party, had burgers and hot dogs, and made tie dye shirts!!!! And to put a cherry on top, I had a Lime Green Shoe Allie's Donut Cake. Now if you aren't from around here, there is this little place called Allie's Donuts. Whoever created this place is a GENIUS! They make the best donuts! And they also make donut cakes! It is literally a cake made out of a huge donut! Best thing on the face of the Earth!
